Len Sheets tendered his resignation at Monday, October 25, 2010 School Board Meeting to be effective December 31, 2010. Len was voted to be a County Commissioner in Moore County effective January 1, 2011. In the State of Texas you can not hold two positions that are both taxing entities. Len's term was due to end in 2012. The school board can now appoint someone to fill the vacancy till the next school board election. The local school board has seven members on its board before Mr. Sheets resigned.
