Jordan Mills, President of the Dumas ISD Board of Trustees said in a phone interview on Tuesday that the school board did vote Mark Strobel as the finalist for the position of Superintendent of Dumas Independent School District. The action naming Mr. Strobel took place at a regular school board meeting held October 25, 2010. The Board also announced its intention to name him as Superintendent after the required 21-day period of public notice. The next school board meeting will be November 15th where Mr. Strobel is expected to be named Superintendent at that time. Stroebel was the only applicant interviewed at Monday night school board when they went into Closed Session at the end of the meeting.
