Today is the filing deadline for the city's and school board's local election. If you haven't thrown you name into the ring after today you will not be able to run for either election.
The city election has two candidates running for City Commissioner, Steve Bodnar and Gabriel Rodriguez have filed to run for this two-year unexpired term left vacant by Don Parsons in February. Today is the last day to file for a place on the ballot.
Persons who are interested in applying for a place on the City of Dumas ballot should contact (806) 935-4101 to speak with the City Secretary.
The Dumas ISD Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to serve a three year term. Joe Ballard, Kevin Weatherford and Brent Clark are scheduled for the election in May. Ballard, Weatherford and Clark are running for School Board Trustees.
Persons who are interested to applying for a place on the ballot for the school board election should contact the Dumas ISD Superintendent’s Office at 935-6461 or come by the Administration Building at 4th & Miller.
