The Chamber Of Commerce's Leadership Class Meet For March Class

The Leadership group with the Dumas/Moore County was welcomed by Renee Vincent, Executive Director to Amarillo College at the Dumas/Moore County Campus.  Introductions was made by Sam Cartwright.  The group got to see different aspects of education in Moore County from our local school administration to the staff of Amarillo College.  Here are a list of those people involved with this day of education:

Get Acquainted Activities: Melissa Bates, Assistant Director of Academic Services and Alexa Maples, Coordinator of Student Support Services of Amarillo College
DISD Presentation - DISD Technology - Mark Stroebel, D1SD
Superintendent of Schools - Auditorium
DISD Presentation - No Excuses - Stan Stroebel, DISD Principal,
Morningside Elementary -  Auditorium
SISD Presentation - Glen Waldo, Sunray ISD Superintendent of Schools - Auditorium

After lunch this group were bused to the D1SD Intermediate School Campus to tour the newest school in our district.  This group seen first hand where a child wanting to further their education can do it here in Dumas and Moore County.
