Approximately 156 juniors attended ACMCC for Career Connections Day.
Session 1: Medical Field-Presenters/speakers were Maria Gutierrez-Nursing Program, Julie Evenson-Radiology, Karen Ralls-Physical Therapy, & Occupational Therapy.
Session 2: Law Enforcement: Dumas Police & Sheriff Dept-Speakers; Sgt. Tim Nyguen & LT. Carmen Napp.
Session 3: Business/Banking: Juana Longoria from First state Bank & Education: Sandy Walker: DISD Elementary Counselor.
Session 4- Renewable Energy-Speakers: Randall Sims & John Vincent (both from Amarillo College). Session 5: Tammy Stamps with H.O.T. Jobs: Health Opportunities in Texas, from West Texas A&M University.
The sessions were 25 minutes long and each session was presented 5 times so that all the students could hear and learn about the different career. The speakers covered information about their career, education, training.
