New Officers for 2011 Chamber

Jeff Turner will continue as 2011 Chairman of the Board for the Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center. He took over the chairmanship last August when it was announced that Jim Haugen resigned as chairman as a result of a job move. Turner was officially elected as Chairman of the Board recently and will serve through December this year.
 Turner is CEO of Moore County Hospital District and is no stranger to chamber of commerce volunteer work. He served as Chairman of the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce before being named to the administrative post for MCHD and moving to Dumas.

 Moore County Gin’s manager, Leighton Stovall, will serve as the chamber’s Chairman Elect. Steve Schmidt-Witcher, Cactus City Manager is the new Vice Chairman and Kyle Humphrey, manager of SPC Office Products is the Treasurer. Don Holliman, Lowe’s Marketplace, is Past Chairman and Sam Cartwright serves as the chamber’s President/CEO.
 Serving on the Board of Directors with the officers are: Terri George, Window on the Plains Museum; Mike Running, Dumas Economic Development Corporation; Jeff Bowman, United Supermarkets; Pritesh Bhakta, Hampton Inn & Suites; Renee Vincent, Amarillo College-Moore County Campus; Andrew McMurry, First National Bank; Joel Owens, Windmill Realty and Dee Vaughan, Vaughan Farms, Inc. Serving as Ex-Officio Directors are Billie Faye Schumacher, retired Moore County Judge; Lawrence Bussard, The Chocolate Pantry and Alexa Maples, Amarillo College-Moore County Campus and President of the chamber’s Women’s Division.
