Jeff Turner Says Chamber Seeks To Expand On The Successes Of 2010

Jeff Turner, Chairman of the Board for the Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center was asked to comment on what the Chamber well be doing this year and here is his reply.  Sounds like Jeff and his fellow board members will be staying very busy in 2011.

This year, the Chamber will seek to expand on the successes of 2010. Our Program of Work includes a number of business networking opportunities such as the Quarterly Networking Breakfasts, Business Roundtable, the annual Chamber Banquet and Ag and Industry Banquet, and Operation Thank You, the Chamber's annual member appreciation visitation event. The Chamber will continue its role to develop community leaders through the Leadership Dumas Class and will continue to make Dumas a prettier place to live through the Beautification Committee. In addition, business leaders from Moore County are encouraged to participate in the upcoming Panhandle Days, an event being held on February 21-22 to advocate Panhandle issues to elected officials in Austin. The Chamber will continue to play an important role in local events like Dogie Days, the 4th of July Celebration, staffing the Visitor's Information Center, and Candy Cane Lane.

The Board, staff, and volunteers of the Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce are excited about serving and growing this community in 2011. We look forward to adding new members to the Chamber and seeing each of you at an upcoming event.
