The project is anticipated to cost approximately $16 million, and although it will temporarily interrupt traffic and local businesses, will provide a more rapid response for emergency personnel and make travel in Dumas easier. With an increasing traffic count (16,000 in 2005) of approximately 20,000 vehicles per day.
