Anita McDowell Speaks To The Northern Panhandle Business Women

Anita McDowell owner of Xtreme Realty spoke to the Northern Panhandle Business Women last Thursday night at the Five Eighty Steakhouse.  Her topic was on selling your home and some very useful tips on how to be prepare your home to sell.  Anita shared seven tips on staging your home which are:

1. Do thoroughly deep clean the home - especially the kitchen and bathrooms.
2. Do de-clutter the entire house.
3. Do de-personalize your home.
4. Do use neutral colors when painting both inside and outside.
5. Do spotlessly clean the windows and window coverings.
6. Do make your pets disappear (while you are trying to sell)
7. Do spruce up your calling card - your landscape

McDowell encouraged everyone not to make these mistakes when selling.  Most importantly is do your research when choosing a realtor that will help you in this big step of your life.
