Rosita fire near Canadian River

Picture of scorched land on both sides of 287 Highway during Monday's rain.

A grass fire that shut down U.S. Highway 287 north of Amarillo near the Canadian River bridge burned  over 1,700 acres on Saturday, January 30, 2016.  This cause some people going to Dumas to divert to Channing via the Boys Ranch Road.

Multiple agencies help Potter County with the wildland fire near Rosita area of the Canadian River.
