New Building Arrives at Window on the Plains

Three truckloads of building materials arrived at Window on the Plains Monday afternoon.  The materials will be used in the construction of a 60'x120' machinery storage building just west of the present building.  Construction will begin early next week and theerrection is scheduled to be complete in about four weeks.  Interior work will begin after the new year and will include some concrete and electrical work. A  drive in on-going at the museum to fund the completion of the building.  Donations may be mailed to 1820 S. Dumas Ave.

When the new building is completed, the tractors, combines and other machinery will be moved to that building.  The long-range plans will be to renovate the barn into display area much like the main building of the museum, according to board president, William F. "Bill" Watson.  That part of the plan will begin as funds are available.
