New Building Arrives at Window on the Plains


Three truckloads of building materials arrived at Window on the Plains Monday afternoon.  The materials will be used in the construction of a 60'x120' machinery storage building just west of the present building.  Construction will begin early next week and theerrection is scheduled to be complete in about four weeks.  Interior work will begin after the new year and will include some concrete and electrical work. A  drive in on-going at the museum to fund the completion of the building.  Donations may be mailed to 1820 S. Dumas Ave.

When the new building is completed, the tractors, combines and other machinery will be moved to that building.  The long-range plans will be to renovate the barn into display area much like the main building of the museum, according to board president, William F. "Bill" Watson.  That part of the plan will begin as funds are available.

New Electrical Poles Going Up Along Maddox St


You may have seen the huge poles lying around waiting to be put in place.  This past week several were put in the ground and then crews attaching the high wires as seen below.

Clayton Senior Center Visits Window on the Plains Museum

A group of 20  from the Clayton Senior Center stopped at Window on the Plains Museum for a tour Monday morning.  The group made the trip especially to visit the museum.  After the visit they had lunch at Pecos Diamond Steak House.
