Hatching in the Classroom Program
Moore County 4-H recently partnered with the elementary schools in Dumas, Sunray and Cactus to allow the students the opportunity to experience the Hatching in the Classroom Program. The “Hatching in the Classroom” curriculum offers a unique science project that will involve students with “real life” discoveries. The curriculum targets children from kindergarten to fourth grade. Curriculum for older students through high school is also available. The 21 day program allows students to follow the life cycle of a hatching chicks and the embryologic process. We appreciate the support of DEDC and all of the teachers who take the time and effort to incorporate this program into their busy, end of year schedules. Attached are photos of Ms. Brandt’s class and Ms. Mayfield’s class.
