City of Dumas Commissioners and Moore County Commissioners Meet To Make A Joint Resolution To Have A Relief Route Around Dumas

County Commissioner Milton Pax is asked to lead meeting in prayer.

The City of Dumas Commission passed a resolution that will allow TxDOT to begin a feasibility study for a relief route. The Moore County Commissioners joined them in this resolution.  Moore County Commissioners had already passed their own resolution to precede.

A grass fire that shut down U.S. Highway 287 north of Amarillo near the Canadian River bridge burned  over 1,700 acres on Saturday, January 30, 2016.  This cause some people going to Dumas to divert to Channing via the Boys Ranch Road.
